Warning: There are massive spoilers ahead for the mid-credits scene in Eternals!
Near the end of Eternals, three of the survivors picked one direction to go: up. After they space. their fellow Eternals back on Earth were kidnapped by the Celestial, Arishem. During the mid-credits scene, Pip the Troll (Patton Oswalt) introduced the survivors to Eros/Starfox (Harry Styles), an Eternal from Titan who is also the brother of Thanos. Eros offered to help the Eternals rescue their lost friends. However, there’s at least one scene that Styles shot that didn’t make the final cut.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Lauren Ridloff confirmed that her character, Makkari, shared an additional scene with Styles where they attempted to make contact with Arishem. She also praised Styles for his camaraderie with the cast, and the way he looked out for her on set.
“He arrived, and he was just like part of us, immediately,” said Ridloff. Because Ridloff is deaf, she communicated with director Chloe Zhao via an interpreter. But that led to some issues when Ridloff had to perform a scene with her eyes closed.

“Chloe would say, ‘Cut,’ and every time she yelled, ‘Cut,’ the interpreter would have to run around and tap me on the shoulder,” recalled Ridloff. “So after a couple times, Harry was just like, ‘Is it okay if I just tap you and cue you when we stop shooting? I was like, ‘Yeah, thank you!’ That’s just who Harry is: He just watches out, and he thinks: ‘What can I do?'”
While Marvel Studios hasn’t announced an Eternals sequel, the end credits promise that these characters will return. And it should be noted that Starfox and Black Knight/Dane Whitman (Kit Harington) were members of the Avengers in the comics. That history could repeat itself on the big screen.
