DC League of Super-Pets Movie Adds Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, and More

Last month, word broke that Dwayne Johnson will headline a DC League of Super-Pets movie as Superman’s dog, Krypto. Now, Johnson is welcoming new actors to the film’s voice cast. The Black Adam star took to Twitter earlier today to announce that Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna will have roles in the new animated feature. Additionally, Johnson shared a teaser for the film that gives us the first look at the design for Krypto. Check it out for yourself below.

Most of the new roles are still a mystery. However, the teaser confirms that Hart is voicing Batman’s dog, Ace. Although most fans probably know Bruce Wayne’s loyal companion from his appearances on Batman Beyond, the Bat-Hound actually made his first appearance in 1955, and he was even given his own cowl to wear. Ace also occasionally appeared in Cartoon Network’s Krypto the Superdog animated series.

Hart isn’t exactly a stranger to voicing cuddly animals, having starred in The Secret Life of Pets and its sequel. The new film will also mark his latest collaboration with Johnson. Previously, the two acted together in Central Intelligence, two Jumanji movies, and Hobbs & Shaw. Hart and Johnson also co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 2016.

Jared Stern is writing and directing DC League of Super-Pets. Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on May 20, 2022.
