Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 only had four episodes, but that was more than enough to establish many mysteries, including that of the Avian. The first half of the season also unfurled many of these complex webs but left a lot for the second part as well.
One of the most fascinating mysteries throughout the first four episodes was the identity of the Avian.

The Avian’s real identity in Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 explained
The identity of the Avian was a well-kept secret throughout the second season of Wednesday. But when Wednesday and Uncle Fester broke into the LOIS section of Willow Hill, the mysterious figure finally came in front of them and revealed their identity.
It turned out that Judi was the Avian all along. Judi is the daughter of Willow Hill’s former chief psychiatrist and Nevermore’s ex-science teacher, Augustus Stonehurst. Judi revealed that her father was so fascinated with the Outcasts that he tried to experiment on them. His goal was to gain their powers.
While his body ultimately never took it, Judi got the powers to control birds. She even used these abilities to murder former Jericho Sheriff Donovan Galpin and his old partner, Carl Bradbury.
Why did Judi kill Galpin and Bradbury in Wednesday Season 2 Part 1?
Judi took over Augustus’s mission of experimenting on the Outcasts but made Dr. Fairburn the public face of the hospital. After Tyler came to the facility, Galpin and Bradbury started investigating the dark experiments taking place at Willow Hill.
When they were getting too close to discovering and subsequently exposing the truth, Judi used her Avian abilities to murder them.
Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 concluded on a cliffhanger. The second part, which arrives on September 3, 2025, will explore this further.
