Why Marvel Fans Think Ghost Rider Will Appear Soon After Mephisto

With Mephisto already here in the MCU, is it time for Ghost Rider to arrive? Fans certainly think so, and there is solid ground for the speculations. From bringing in Mephisto, the character most linked to Ghost Rider, as well as casting rumors surrounding Ryan Gosling and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, there is every reason for Ghost Rider to finally pop up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Has Marvel confirmed Ghost Rider’s debut with Mephisto?

Marvel has not explicitly confirmed Ghost Rider’s appearance in either the Avengers projects or in any other form. But that could be part of the surprise. For instance, Mephisto hints go back four years to WandaVision, and after Agatha All Along mentioned the name for the first time, Mephisto is finally here. This proves that all the speculations about Mephisto debuting in the MCU, including the casting rumors surrounding Sacha Baron Cohen, were true.

Ghost Rider is a character directly linked to Mephisto. Even in the standalone Ghost Rider movies, starring Nicholas Cage, the superhero got his powers after making a deal with Mephisto to save his surrogate father.

In Ironheart, there was a tiny hint as well. Mephisto tells Robbins that he is not his only client. Could this be a reference to Johnny Blaze? A lot of fans certainly seem to think so. Moreover, Marvel is also reportedly developing a Midnight Sons movie, which, again, could feature both Mephisto and Ghost Rider. There have also been casting rumors for the iconic character.

According to insider @MyTimeToShineHello, Marvel is looking at Ryan Gosling to take over the iconic role. The actor has also expressed his interest in working in the MCU, which further strengthens this prospect.

So all the things seem to add up to indicate that Ghost Rider may be on the verge of entering the MCU, and if Ryan Gosling takes up the role, it will make the prospect more fascinating.
