Hot Toys 2021 Summer Exclusives: The Armorer, Cyborg Spidey, Iron Man

While conventions mostly remain online for now, “convention exclusives” remain a thing in 2021. Although without any physical space to attend, the exclusives remain more accessible to the masses than ever. Not that Hot Toys‘ exclusives ever actually showed up in hand at cons; they do preorders as always. But this year, their high-end offerings should be easier to get for anyone who wants one, or three. And the Hot Toys 2021 summer exclusives this year include some must-have Marvel and Star Wars items for completists.

Perhaps the most essential, non-variant character in the bunch is The Armorer. A rare female sci-fi character who cannot be judged for her physique or looks, because all are hidden behind a helmet and fur cloak. A crucial aid to Din Djarin in The Mandalorian season 1, The Armorer made a strong impression without ever revealing her face. The figure includes a display stand, themed backdrop, several tools, and “real” faux-fur.

From Spider-Man comics and the video game comes Cyborg Spider-Man. Battle-damaged and augmented with robotic parts, this Spidey includes a light-up left eye with several aligned filters. Witt metallic paint on the mechanical parts, he also includes a dynamic flight stand and multiple web effects.

Finally, the fourth “Neon Tech” Iron Man figure arrives, with a purely coincidental (wink-wink) resemblance to characters from a beloved ’80s Disney film. This armor boasts neon orange highlights, blacklight-sensitive paint, and LED lights. He also features “LED light-up Nano Repulsor Cannon, Hand Cannon, Nano Boosters, Energy Blade, Holo Shield,” and a specially designed figure stand for display.

Cyborg Spider-Man accepts preorders now, for $270 with expected delivery by year’s end. The Armorer and Iron Man will debut as part of Sideshow’s upcoming online convention, beginning July 19th. Register now to get the info as soon as it drops.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on a full gallery of all three figures. Which one catches your eye most?  Let us know in comments.
