Will the Green Goblin Appear in The Amazing Spider-Man Sequel?

HitFix is reporting that DeHaan was present yesterday at the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of his new film Kill Your Darlings. The director of the film, John Krokidas, was introducing the cast of the film and when he got to DeHaan, he mentioned “He’s the Green Goblin,” to which DeHaan reportedly smiled.

There has been no confirmation or denial from Sony at this point, so this should be treated strictly as a rumor, but it does seem like a plausible rumor. One thing that makes this seem unlikely is that Jamie Foxx has already mentioned many details about Electro’s arc in the film, but it wouldn’t be the first time there were multiple villains in a Spider-Man movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man sequel is also set to star Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, and Martin Sheen and will hit theaters on May 2, 2014.
