Watch the Alternate Opening to Marvel's The Avengers

The film coming to DVD and Blu-ray next month, Marvel's The Avengers has revealed, through Yahoo! Movies, an alternate opening to the Joss Whedon film which sees Cobie Smulder's Agent Maria Hill recalling the events of the narrative through a flashback. Written and directed by Whedon, the superhero ensemble stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Stellan Skarsgård. The film has earned a massive $1.46 billion at the worldwide box office and it stands as the #3 film of all time globally and domestically.

The movie will be available as a 2D Blu-ray Combo Pack, a 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on September 25th.
