The Avengers Takes Over NASA

UPDATE: Jeremy Renner also present for Research Station shoot

With production there begun earlier in the week, The Avengers is still shooting at the Space Power Facility at NASA Plum Brook Station. The Sandusky Register has the update, claiming that the station will be used in the film as a generic research facility.

The location is said to take up "several minutes" of screentime and will have the NASA logos intact. Samuel L. Jackson is still suspected to be the only major cast member to participate in the shoot.

The highly-anticipated Joss Whedon-directed film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Amanda Righetti. It opens in theaters on May 4, 2012.

UPDATE: Cleveland.com has revealed that Jeremy Renner was also spotted on-set. They also add the scenes involve will represent joint NASA/S.H.I.E.L.D. research.
