Earlier this week, ComingSoon.net talked to Taylor Kitsch about his new movie The Bang Bang Club and before they wrapped up the interview, they asked the actor whether he has heard any word whether he might reprise the role of Gambit that he played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, being that producer Lauren Schuler Donner has recently talked about continuing the "X-Men" movies following the upcoming X-Men: First Class.
"There were strong rumors a while ago, but I haven't heard or seen anything tangible anyways," he told them in response. "I know if we do it, it'll probably be down the road and we'll do it hopefully a lot darker. I'd love to play him again, but it's a matter of doing it right, too. There's no point in just doing it for the sake of doing it. You gotta kill if you're going to do it, so we'll see."
He also told the site that he hasn't had a chance to meet Anna Paquin, who played Gambit's long-time love interest Rogue in the previous three films.
