Sean Hood Rewriting Conan
Filming is scheduled to start on March 15
 SuperHeroHype has confirmed that Sean Hood has been hired to rewrite the script for Conan, which starts filming on March 15th. Directed by Marcus Nispel, the action-adventure will be distributed by Lionsgate.
In the film, based on Robert E. Howard's mythical conqueror, Jason Momoa is starring in the title role, while Leo Howard is playing a younger version. Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer wrote the original script. Hood wrote a screenplay with similar themes for the same producers, Joe Gatta and Boaz Davidson at Millennium Films, called Hercules, which is currently looking for a director. The producers will focus on Hercules once Conan is finished. Hood also worked with Nispel on the script for the sci-fi thriller Subterranean, which may begin shooting later this year. Lionsgate also brought us the wonderful last Highlander movie! which by the way was straight to Sci Fi channel. If that is the kind of film this will be? Then I say dont waste any of our time making this movie. Conan was a tv show one only one season, Why because it sucked! Conan has never been done on film the way REH wrote it down in the books, I have a bad feeling about this movie. The more that is released about it, the less I am hopeful it will be good. my only hope now is that Crom will find it unworthy and banish it from our lives. Report Abuse
