Terminator’s T-800 Debuts In New Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer
NetherRealm Studios has debuted a new trailer for its best-selling fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 in action. And this Terminator definitely fits right in. While Schwarzenegger does provide his likeness for the T-800, his distinctive voice is not included. Instead, voiceover actor dubs his lines instead. Regardless, the T-800’s essence is completely intact, thanks to his impressive move list.
The T-800 can use a shotgun and a machine gun for close attacks, which can be put together into combos. Additionally, it can also use a time portal as a teleportation to get the jump on enemies. And if the Terminator takes any sort of fire damage, his skin and clothes melt off, revealing its T-800 endoskeleton. This actually makes it more of a threat, as it can take smaller hits with relative ease.
But perhaps the best technique is the Terminator’s X-Ray move. It shoots an opponent in the face while smiling and giving a thumbs up before brutally throwing them. As for his Fatality…well, you’re just gonna have to see it for yourselves.
This marks the Terminator’s latest appearance in video games. Last month, both the T-800 and Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor debuted in Gears 5 as playable characters. They all tie together with next month’s release of Terminator: Dark Fate.
The Terminator makes his Mortal Kombat 11 debut on October 8 for early access players, and on October 15 for everyone else. He’s the latest part of the current season pass, which will also introduce Spawn and DC’s Joker in 2020.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
