Mortal Kombat 11 trailer reveals Joker, T-800 as playable characters
Mortal Kombat 11 is adding some more familiar faces to its fighting roster. A new trailer released today reveals The Terminator’s T-800, complete with the likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger from Terminator: Dark Fate, and DC Comic’s The Joker will be added as playable characters as part of the games Kombat Pack expansion option. You can check out the full trailer in the post below!
The T-800 will be available for early access one week early starting on Oct. 8, whereas The Joker won’t be available until Jan. 28 next year. Other big-name additions include Sindel, who’s available come Nov. 26 and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, who debuts March 17. Mortal Kombat mainstays Shang Tsung and Nightwolf are currently available.
Deemed as the next evolution for the franchise, Mortal Kombat 11 will also introduce a new Custom Character Variations, giving you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
The last game in the Warner Bros. Interactive series, Mortal Kombat X, was released in 2015 to critical acclaim and high sales. The game even won Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards 2015, but the series has remained dormant since then.
The Kombat Pack comes as part of the Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition, or can be purchased separately for $39.99. All DLC characters and bonus character skin packs will be available for individual purchase after the one-week early access period. Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
