Actor Aaron Pierre gave DC fans a thrill by flawlessly reciting the iconic Green Lantern Oath during a live TV appearance. Co-starring Kyle Chandler, the upcoming Lanterns sci-fi series is set to make its premiere on HBO Max on August 16, 2026.
In a recent interview with CBS Mornings, Pierre wrapped up the conversation by delivering the legendary oath along with one of the co-hosts. Co-anchor Vlad Duthiers, an avid longtime reader of Green Lantern comics, expressed his excitement about seeing Pierre as John Stewart.
The co-host then started the legendary pledge, which Pierre picked up seamlessly without missing a beat.
“In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!” The clip quickly became viral on social media, with fans praising how the British actor embraced the iconic role.
