New Ahsoka Season 2 Logo Revealed by Rosario Dawson

Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson showed off Season 2‘s logo in a new Instagram post. As of writing, it’s unclear when the second season, which wrapped production late last year, will arrive. However, what is known is that it will continue the narrative established by the inaugural season. In the series, Dawson, who plays Ahsoka Tano, leads a supporting cast that includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ivanna Sakhno, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, among others.

Dawson shared a selfie on Instagram to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The photo showed Dawson, who cut her hair short and dyed it blonde, darting her eyes towards the sky. In the photo, the 46-year-old wore a black puffer jacket with the Ahsoka Season 2 logo etched on the right side.

“Good morning New Years Eve…” Dawson captioned her post, which has received 10.1k likes as of writing.

Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni told Collider last year that Season 2 will have eight episodes like Season 1. He also said fans would “be in for a treat” if they enjoyed Season 1’s story structure.

Production on Season 2 began in April 2025 and wrapped in October, according to a deleted Instagram post from Dawson. The actress wrote, “It’s a wrap! It was thrilling to sign and gift nearly 1k of these epic displate magnetic metal posters to our incredibly hardworking crew of ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2… the force is strong with this team. Enjoy a little piece of the galaxy until we meet again” (via X (formerly Twitter)).

Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan showcased a concept art trailer that revealed plot details for the upcoming season. These include Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren’s journey on Peridea, which is tied to the Mortis gods, that will end in an epic confrontation with Baylan Skoll (who will be played by Rory McCann — replacing the late Ray Stevenson), Garazeb Orrelios’ appearance, and a huge battle between the Galactic Empire, led by Grand Admiral Thrawn, and the New Republic, led by Admiral Ackbar (via Screenrant).

Ahsoka Season 2 currently does not have an official release date or window. However, if it follows a similar timeline to Season 1, wherein production took place between May and October 2022, before releasing in August 2023, it could arrive in August 2026.

Bryce Dallas Howard directed two episodes of Season 2. Filoni, Jennifer Getzinger, and Anders Engström also directed episodes of the series.
