Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 has finally received a major update regarding the current status of its production. It has been over two years since the Disney+ show’s first installment concluded its 8-episode run, which garnered a Certified Fresh score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
What did Rosario Dawson say in her deleted Ahsoka Season 2 post?
Shared on X, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson confirmed that production on Season 2 has officially been completed. She expressed her gratitude towards the show’s crew by gifting them metal posters, featuring an epic artwork of the fan-favorite Star Wars character.
“It’s a wrap! It was thrilling to sign and gift nearly 1k of these epic displate magnetic metal posters to our incredibly hardworking crew of Ahsoka Season 2…,” Dawson wrote. “The Force is strong with this team. Enjoy a little piece of the galaxy until we meet again.”
At the moment, it’s unclear why Dawson decided to delete her wrap post since she wasn’t the only cast member who posted about Season 2’s filming wrap. Earlier this month, Sabine Wren star Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Ezra Bridger actor Eman Esfandi revealed that they have completed filming their scenes for Season 2.
Ahsoka was written and executive produced by Dave Filoni, best known for his work on fan-favorite Star Wars animated shows The Clone Wars and Rebels. Set within the same timeline as The Mandalorian, Season 1 revolved around the titular Jedi’s quest across the galaxy as she investigates an emerging threat following the fall of the Empire. The show also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, and David Tennant as the voice of Huyang, with Rory McCann replacing the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll in Season 2.
