What did Marc Bernardin say about Eyes of Wakanda?

When asked by SuperHeroHype about his experience working on Eyes of Wakanda and what Black Panther fans should be excited to see in the new MCU show, Bernardin said, “The experience was illuminating, in a lot of ways. It was a pandemic gig, so everybody was just on a Zoom. I saw lots of people’s heads, and I had no idea how tall or short anybody was. But, the thing that I will always remember about that is the day that Ryan Coogler popped up on the Zoom, and we didn’t know Ryan Coogler was going to be there that day. I think they had a down day on Black Panther 2, which he was in the middle of shooting, and he just popped in and wanted to talk about the show.

“To get to talk to Ryan about Wakanda, Ryan about the War Dogs, and Ryan about the world as he saw it through the prism of Wakanda — that was phenomenal. To pitch some things to him, and all of us did who were in that room, for him to say, ‘Oh, that’s dope, I love that, we’re going to do that.’ Like, no! No! I had to call my mom and tell her. Like, ‘Do you know what happened to me today?’ ‘Did you meet Denzel Washington?’ ‘No! But I was on a Zoom with Ryan Coogler!’

“I think that Ryan very much digs the show. And I think if you like what Ryan has done with Wakanda, if you like what Ryan has done with the Black Panther movies, then it should sort of fit hand in glove. The mesh should hold. I think you’ll dig it. And I don’t think you’ll expect what it is. But, once you get it, I think you’ll have a good time.”
