Emma Myers, who plays Enid on Wednesday, recently revealed her storytelling hopes for the fan-favorite character in Season 2.
Speaking with 1883 Magazine, Myers shared that she was “very excited” to be returning to the role of Enid for Wednesday Season 2. “I have never had to come back to a project before, other than reshoots, which are hard enough trying to remember what you did,” she explained. “I think it’s going to be fun seeing all of my friends again and having that same sense of community that we did, wow, two years ago now. I am excited — new place, new experiences — it’s going to be really fun!”
While Myers admitted that she has been left in the dark about “what’s going on with season two” story-wise, the actor revealed that she does have some specific hopes for Enid’s story.
“I would just love to see her be more confident in herself. She’s finally grown into her wolf abilities, and I would like to see her use that instead of being scared and upset by it,” Myers said. “I would love to see her be an instigator in things instead of just being dragged along with it.”
Wednesday reimagines the Addams Family
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wednesday is a live-action re-imagining of The Addams Family, with Jenna Ortega in the title role of Wednesday Addams. Other cast members besides Myers and Ortega include Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, and Christina Ricci, who portrayed Wednesday Addams in the 1990s live-action Addams Family movies.
Released on Netflix on November 23, 2022, the first season of the supernatural mystery series follows Wednesday as she attends Nevermore Academy while attempting to master her emerging psychic ability, stop a monstrous killing spree terrorizing the local town of Jericho, and solve a 25-year-old mystery.
Wednesday Season 1 is streaming on Netflix. A release date for Season 2 has not yet been set.
