Amazon Shares New Wheel of Time Clip, Reveals Season 2 Cast Members

After years of waiting, Moiraine Damodred’s journey is finally about to begin. The cast and crew of Amazon’s The Wheel of Time stopped by New York Comic Con earlier today to drop hints about what’s in store for the series’ highly-anticipated first season. During the conversation, they also premiered a brand new clip that highlights the renown of Rosamund Pike’s lead character. You can check it out for yourself below.

The clip takes place at the Winespring Inn, a pivotal location from Robert Jordan’s original novels. It opens with Rand (Josha Stradowski) eyeing Egwene (Madeleine Madden) as she serves drinks to the bar’s patrons. Eventually, Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) arrives and asks Rand about a mysterious “ceremony” that Egwene recently participated in. But before they can reveal more details, Daniel Henney’s Lan Mandragoran arrives and introduces Pike’s Moiraine, whose mere presence brings a hush over the crowd.

Showrunner Rafe Judkins also found time to share some interesting details about The Wheel of Time’s future. Specifically, he announced that Ceara Coveney, Natasha O’Keeffe, and Meera Syal have joined the cast of season 2. Coveney will play Elayne Trakand, a fan-favorite character who originally appeared in Jordan’s first book. O’Keeffe and Syal’s characters remain a mystery for now. However, Judkins teased that their roles are anything but small.

The Wheel of Time premieres on Amazon Prime on November 19.
