Apple Debuts New Footage from Foundation Series, First Look at Invasion

On the occasion of this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has debuted a brand new video with plenty of footage from the upcoming shows coming to Apple TV in the next few months, including Foundation. The series created by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman will adapt the legendary book series by Isaac Asimov. Details about this show are still under wraps, but it will hit the streaming platform somewhere later this year. Briefly, the story will follow Hari Seldon, the man who predicted the pending collapse of a galactic empire thanks to his mathematical skills. The ruler of that empire isn’t thrilled about Seldon’s discovery.

The Foundation cast sees Jared Harris as Hari Seldon, Lee Pace as Brother Day, Lou Llobell as Gaal, Leah Harvey as Salvor, Laura Birn as Demerzel, Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk, and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn. As of this writing, Apple hasn’t announced an official release date for the series.

The freshly released video also features the first look at Apple’s sci-fi Invasion series. Once again, the information about this project is pretty scarce. However, the story will involve an alien invasion. The cast is lead by Jurassic Park vet Sam Neill as Sheriff John Bell Tyson and sees Shamier Anderson as Trevante Ward, Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha Malik, Firas Nassar as Ahmed Malik, and Shiori Kutsuna as Mitsuki.
