This is the way that the season ends for The Mandalorian. Not all of Mando’s friends made it out alive, but he is officially “dad” for the Child/Baby Yoda for the foreseeable future. Even within the Star Wars universe, no one seems to know much about Yoda’s race or where the Child came from. However, we’re bound to get some answers in the seasons to come.
Now that The Mandalorian season 1 is over, we want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about the finale! Was this a fitting way to end the season? Is Giancarlo Espositio’s Moff Gideon a worthy adversary for the Mandalorian? Fans of The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels should recognize Gideon’s Darksaber. That’s an important part of Mandalorian lore.
In case you want to know more about the Mandalorians’ history with the Jedi or the significance of the Darksaber, check out our Mandalorians primer video. Gideon’s history with Mando and the child are clearly going to be explored in the future. However, episode 5’s post credits scene wasn’t addressed in the finale. The Mandalorian season 1 is currently streaming on Disney+.
