Sebastian Stan’s Harvey Dent Casting Rumor in The Batman II Gets a Major Twist

The mystery over Sebastian Stan‘s role in The Batman Part II gets deeper with a major twist. The anticipated sequel to 2022’s critically acclaimed and highly successful first part is being helmed by Matt Reeves.

Few days ago, an interview given by Stan made waves on social media. It suggested that the actor had confirmed his role as Harvey Dent. However, it later came to light that the journalist who interviewed him had made the claim, not him, while replying to a curious fan on X.

Surprisingly, the same journalist, Stéphanie Belpêche, has now deleted her post where she claimed that Sebastian Stan told her, at the Cannes Film Festival, that he was playing Harvey Dent.

Sebastian Stan has yet to publicly address the casting speculation

Obviously, this new development in the ongoing situation regarding Sebastian Stan’s character in The Batman Part II has left fans confused.

However, it’s evident that the actor has yet to officially comment on his exact role in the awaited sequel. Interestingly, his recent public appearance has sparked another rumor related to his potential role.

Stan was recently seen with a bald look that went viral online, with fans claiming that he might be portraying famous Batman villain Victor Zsasz in The Batman Part II. The bald look matched Victor’s look from DC Comics.

But again, all unverified claims, rumors, and speculations should be taken with a grain of salt for now until there’s an official update.

The Batman Part II will bring back Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader. The ensemble cast will also include Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow, Jurassic World Rebirth), Brian Tyree Henry (Dope Thief), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction, Highest 2 Lowest, Westworld), Andy Serkis (War for the Planet of the Apes, Animal Farm, Young Washington), Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jayme Lawson (Sinners), Gil-Perez Abraham (Anya), and Sebastian Koch (The Lives of Others).

The Batman Part II will hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
