A recent report has revealed new details about Thor and Steve Rogers’ roles in Avengers: Doomsday. The update suggests the two Avengers will undertake a separate mission connected to a familiar multiverse character.

A new report claims that in Avengers: Doomsday, Thor and Steve Rogers will be dispatched on a separate mission tied to Loki. According to scooper @MyTimeToShineHello, “In Avengers: Doomsday, Steve and Thor are on a side quest to find Loki and the TVA.” The update indicates their storyline runs parallel to the central Avengers conflict.
An earlier post from the same source said, “In Avengers Doomsday, Thor and Steve are on a side quest to find Loki.” Tom Hiddleston is confirmed to return as Loki in the film. The report places Thor and Steve away from the main ensemble as they pursue a multiverse-related objective.
The same source also stated, “Thor and Steve are already on the Fantastic Four’s ship with Doom before it arrives in the MCU.” This detail positions the characters alongside Victor Von Doom early in the narrative. Robert Downey Jr. portrays a version of Doom in the film.
A separate report claims this version of Doom commands “multiple masked sidekicks,” described as both male and female. Their identities remain undisclosed, with speculation that they may be Variants or followers. Some may potentially unmask as characters such as Scarlet Witch or Tony Stark.
Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans reprise their roles as Thor and Steve Rogers. Additional returning cast members include Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Tom Hiddleston. New additions include Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, and Lewis Pullman, with India Rose Hemsworth, Mabel Cadena, and Hayley Atwell also appearing.
The Russo Brothers direct the film, written by Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron. Marvel Studios plans to release Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
