Ron Howard Teases the Ever-Present Empire in the Han Solo Movie

Production continues on Lucasfilm’s upcoming Han Solo movie and new director Ron Howard has taken to Twitter to reveal another interesting photo form the set, this time featuring the ever-present Empire in the upcoming film.

The context of the picture remains to be seen, of course, but Howard captioned the photo with “The Empire Looms Large” and the pictured helmet looks like the ones originally worn by Death Star soldiers in the very first Star Wars film. Do you think the Death Star will once again appear in a Star Wars movie or is Howard misdirecting fans with a clever photo? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!

Williams and Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge are playing undisclosed roles.

In the wake of the departure of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars movie, Lucasfilm hired director Ron Howard (A Beautiful MindThe Da Vinci Code) to take their places. It is unknown how credit will be divided for the finished film, as at least 3/4s of it was already shot when Howard took over.

The Han Solo movie is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018.
