Fans believe a blurry image may have revealed The Void’s design in Avengers: Doomsday. The image is from a behind-the-scenes video featuring Robert Downey Jr. from Marvel Studios’ SDCC Hall H event.
A photo frame visible in the background has drawn attention online. However, Marvel has not confirmed that the image shows Sentry or his dark alter ego, The Void. One fan account @_Movie_Fans_ shared the claim on social media and wrote, “First potential look at The Void (Sentry) in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY. This photo is real and is taken from the video posted by RDJ on Instagram.” @Nomoremutants22 shared, “??? #Avengersdoomsday.”
Since the image is unclear, verifying its identity makes it even harder. It could be concept art, production material, or another character connected with the film.
The connection between Sentry and The Void explained
Sentry is the superhero identity of Robert “Bob” Reynolds, played by Lewis Pullman. The Void represents his darker side and can appear as a separate force within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel superhero film Thunderbolts established that Bob struggles to control The Void. The entity traps victims inside a dark dimension, forcing them to relive their worst memories.
Marvel has confirmed Pullman’s return as Sentry for Avengers: Doomsday. That announcement makes The Void’s possible involvement more significant, although it does not confirm the leaked image’s identity.
The character could become important to Doctor Doom’s plans. Still, Marvel has not released official footage or concept art identifying The Void in the upcoming film.
