Deadpool Crosses the $700 Million Mark Worldwide

Deadpool Blu-ray and DVD Pre-Orders Have Started

With the movie about to top the box office for a second-straight weekend (it earned an impressive $16.2 million on Friday and crossed the $200 million  mark on Saturday), 20th Century Fox is already letting you pre-order the Deadpool Blu-ray and DVD at! It is not known yet when the popular comic book adaptation will be available, but it is an almost certainty that the movie will hit Digital HD before the Blu-ray and DVD are released.

In related news, a lot of fans want Deadpool to host Saturday Night Live. Mocking the recent Kanye West rant from behind the scenes of the NBC show, you can watch Reynolds’ response below, which includes the following caption: “Actually DEADPOOL was going to host back in the 90s, but then this happened. Thank god Tom Hanks was available that week.”

Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat, and Ed Skrein as Ajax. The film also features the mutant Colossus, voiced by Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
