All this week, the nominations for various awards have been announced, but today the one you’ve all been waiting for is here, the Oscar nominations! Of the movies we covered last year, Skyfall came away with the most nominations at five, including Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, Best Song, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey managed three nominations including Best Makeup, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects. Marvel’s The Avengers and Prometheus each received one nomination, both in the Best Visual Effects category.
