Cleveland's The Plain Dealer reports that rain has forced The Avengers production to film indoors today:
Filming of battle scene for "The Avengers" movie was scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. today, but heavy rain forced the filming inside the county-owned former Ameritrust bank building at East Ninth Street and Euclid Avenue. The building is now named the Capitol One Bank for the film.
If the sun comes out Tuesday, filming is expected to resume.
Marvel Studios planned to film the exterior shots all week on East Ninth Street, ending on Saturday, with the principal cast including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man); Chris Hemsworth (Thor); Chris Evans (Captain America); Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow).
The Avengers is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4, 2012.
