A new report about the twist in Avengers: Doomsday will “leave your jaw on the floor.”
Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Due to the film’s importance in the MCU, there are spoilers and rumors at every turn. Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus said that many people have correctly figured out the first two acts of Avengers: Doomsday. However, there is a huge twist at the end of Act 2 that remains a mystery and will change the dynamic of the movie.
What major Avengers: Doomsday twist was teased?
“Most people have gotten the first two acts right so far,” Perez wrote. “No one seems to agree on the third act. Which I hope doesn’t leak. Because the ending of Act 2 makes you think the movie’s over, and then in comes the bait and switch that’ll leave your jaw on the floor, and then you realize there’s an hour of movie left.”
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Marvel recently held a private test screening of the pre-reshoot version of Avengers: Doomsday for Kevin Feige and Marvel staff. The reactions have been positive, with some calling it the “best Marvel movie yet.”
Avengers: Doomsday will feature an epic team-up between the Avengers, New Avengers, Wakandans, and Fantastic Four as they face off to stop Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. Doom is the villain in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Many popular Marvel actors will return to reprise their beloved characters, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X, Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The Russo Brothers are the directors of Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled to open in theaters on December 18, 2026.
