A brand new Spider-Man 4 update has been revealed regarding Brand New Day’s production status. Tom Holland‘s next MCU movie is still slated to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.
What’s the new update for Spider-Man 4?
According to insider Daniel Richtman, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will reportedly complete its principal photography in the UK sometime this month. He also claims that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures might be planning to begin the upcoming movie’s reshoots in February 2026.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The movie will also feature the return of Emmy winner Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. They will be joined by recently announced cast members Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Jon Bernthal (Daredevil: Born Again) as Frank Castle/Punisher, Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) as Cathy, Michael Mando (Better Call Saul) as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III (Black Lightning) as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. The latter originally played Tombstone in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Despite initially denying his involvement, recent set photos confirmed that Avengers vet Mark Ruffalo is indeed reprising his iconic role as Bruce Banner/Hulk in Brand New Day. Previous rumors about Hulk’s potential role in Spider-Man 4 also suggested that the hero might transform into the Savage Hulk, best known as the character’s aggressive and deadly alter-ego. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito.
