Spider-Man 4 Set Video Previews Prison Break Scene With Returning MCU Villain

A new Spider-Man 4 set video has been revealed, as production continues in the UK after Tom Holland suffered a mild concussion while filming at the movie’s set at Pinewood Studios. Even though the movie’s production at Pinewood Studios was temporarily halted, the creative team is still moving forward by filming some of the action sequences with Holland’s stunt double in another location.

Who is in the Spider-Man 4 set video?

Posted by UnBoxPHD on YouTube, the set video shows the police force firing their guns at an unknown individual, while Holland’s Spider-Man stunt double tries to stop a tank from fleeing away. According to insider Daniel Richtman, they’re actually filming a prison break sequence involving Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan/Scorpion, one of the villains that will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The character first appeared in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The movie is led by MCU vet Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Emmy winner Zendaya and Jacob Batalo are also expected to return for the sequel. They will be joined by recently announced cast members Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), with Jon Bernthal (Daredevil: Born Again) as Frank Castle/Punisher. In addition, Avengers vet Mark Ruffalo is also being rumored to reprise his iconic role as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the fourth installment. The movie is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito.

The movie is set to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.
