A new Avengers: Doomsday rumor suggests that two surprising actors have begun filming a scene for the new MCU movie.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is currently in production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will arrive next year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then follows in 2027.
What is the latest Avengers: Doomsday rumor?
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell are filming a scene for Avengers: Doomsday.
There’s been no official announcement from Marvel at this time that Evans and Atwell will return as Steve Rogers/Captain America and Peggy Carter in Avengers: Doomsday, meaning this is just a rumor at this time.
There have, however, been numerous reports and theories suggesting that Evans could show up in some capacity. One of the more popular ones to recently emerge is that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is going after “people who caused the incursions” in Doomsday. Steve Rogers could then be one of these people, given how he altered the MCU timeline in Avengers: Endgame.
The so-far confirmed cast of Avengers: Doomsday includes Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic.
Avengers: Doomsday hits United States theaters on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars then follows on December 17, 2027.
