Sadie Sink’s MCU character’s code name for Spider-Man 4 may have been revealed.
Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is currently in production. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures movie will once again see Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, meanwhile, has been cast in an undisclosed role in the movie; however, that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to guess who she’s playing, with theories ranging anywhere from Gwen Stacy and Jean Grey to Teresa Parker and Firestar.
What is Sadie Sink’s MCU character’s rumored code name in Spider-Man 4?
Nexus Point News Editor in Chief Koc said on Twitter, “Hearing Annabelle Adams is the code name(?) for Sadie Sink’s character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
This is not confirmation that Sink is playing a character named Annabelle Adams; rather, big blockbuster movies often use code names or working titles during production in order to hide certain reveals from fans. Meaning, if Sink’s really is being referred to as Annabelle Adams at this time, that could be a stand-in name to keep audiences in suspense.
Having said that, Annabelle Adams is actually the name of a Marvel Comics character, created by Christopher Yost and Ryan Stegman, who has ties to Spider-Man, as she briefly dated Kaine Parker/Scarlet Spider, who is a clone of Peter Parker. That relationship turned sour, however, when Kaine transformed into a giant spider monster and Annabelle fled in fear.
The cast of Spider-Man 4 also includes Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas in an undisclosed role.
