Avengers: Doomsday Rumor Is Big News for Tom Hiddleston Loki Fans

A new rumor regarding Loki’s role in Avengers: Doomsday has emerged online.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is currently in production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the blockbuster superhero epic will arrive in United States theaters in 2026. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then follows a year later in 2027.

What is the latest Avengers: Doomsday rumor?

According to scooper Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, Loki will seemingly be leading his own team in Avengers: Doomsday.

It’s not clear who may be part of Team Loki, should this rumor prove to be true. Sylvie seems like an obvious answer; however, Sophia Di Martino’s casting in Doomsday and Secret Wars has not been announced at this time.

Perez also said when asked about what versions of Earth will be featured in Doomsday, “Even with Loki’s intervention at the end of his show in season 2, the Multiverse is still on the brink of collapse, and there’s only a handful of viable Earths left. One of the Earths we’re going to see is one completely decimated by the incursion, sort of to make the heroes understand what exactly they’re going up against.”

Official plot details for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars remain under wraps at this time. The former film has a December 18, 2026, release date, while the latter arrives on December 17, 2027.

MCU fans, meanwhile, can check out Tom Hiddleston’s Loki series on Disney+, as both seasons of the show are currently available to watch on the streaming platform.
