Lucasfilm is reportedly planning the return of a fan-favorite character from its newest Disney+ series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. This comes after five months since the coming-of-age adventures show had wrapped up its first season run of eight episodes.
Who is the Star Wars character rumored to return?
According to insider Danel Richtman, Academy Award nominee Jude Law will be reprising his role as Jod Na Nawood soon from Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Lucasfilm is reportedly looking to bring back the character in multiple Star Wars projects in the future. At the moment, it’s unclear if the projects they’re planning are for the big screen or for streaming.
In the Disney+ series, Law’s character was introduced as a force-sensitive pirate who leads his own crew. After initially becoming an ally to the show’s main group of characters, he was later revealed as a villain who wants to invade the kids’ planet. He was last seen in the eighth and final episode, where he was defeated by the kids who successfully foiled his plans of taking over At Attin.
Skeleton Crew was created and executive-produced by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford. The eight-episode series took place after the events of the Return of the Jedi. The ensemble cast also included Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim, Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern, Kyriana Kratter as KB, Robert Timothy Smith as Neel, Tunde Adebimpe as Wendle, Kerry Condon as Fara, and Nick Frost as droid SM 33.
“The series follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home— and meeting unlikely allies and enemies— will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined,” reads the show’s synopsis.
