The world of Star Wars is looking to grow, and according to a new report from a noted insider, could be eyeing a Madame Web star for a big role.
Which Madame Web actress is being looked at for a Star Wars role?
According to noted insider Daniel Richtman (via Cosmic Marvel), Dakota Johnson is being eyed for a “big role” in an undisclosed Star Wars project. The insider didn’t mention which of the various projects could be looking at Johnson, though.
Johnson recently starred in Celine Song’s romance film Materialists and will next appear in the comedy Splitsville. In 2026, she’ll star in Michael Showalter’s Verity, a psychological romance also featuring Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett.
Star Wars is currently still finalizing its future. Up next for the franchise in the world of film is The Mandalorian & Grogu, which releases on May 22, 2026, and stars Pedro Pascal. Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy is also set to make Star Wars: Starfighter, which will star Ryan Gosling and Mia Goth, set to release in 2027.
A new trilogy of films from Simon Kinberg has also been rumored to be in development for some time, as has a new film following the character of Rey Skywalker.
