A new rumor suggests that a major character could be ready to return to the screen in time for Avengers: Doomsday.
Who is rumored to be returning for Avengers: Doomsday?
According to a new report from noted insider DanielRPK, a new setpiece is being added to the ongoing set production for Doomsday. The new piece being built is none other than Captain Marvel’s spaceship, signaling the potential return of Brie Larson‘s character.
The insider went on to note that scenes involving the spaceship are set to be filmed next month, at Windsor Great park in the United Kingdom. It’s unclear as of now how, if at all, Larson’s Captain Marvel will factor into the film, but she did have a huge presence in Avengers: Endgame, and 2023’s The Marvels did set the stage for the return of the original X-Men into the MCU.
So far, a ton of actors have been confirmed to be a part of Doomsday. These include Chris Hemsworth’s, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.
More names for the upcoming movie include Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman’s Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, Winston Duke‘s M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen‘s Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki.

Several X-Men characters are also coming back for the upcoming movie, including Patrick Stewart‘s Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen‘s Magneto, Alan Cumming‘s Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn‘s Mystique, James Marsden‘s Cyclops, and Channing Tatum‘s Gambit.
Additional names include Pedro Pascal‘s Reed Richards.
