The New Mutants film has had a notoriously rough road on the way to theaters. Although the movie’s August release is still in doubt, the cast and the director of New Mutants are reuniting to hype the film at least one last time.
20th Century Studios and Disney have released a new teaser for The New Mutants which announces the film’s Comic-Con@Home panel. You can watch the teaser at the bottom of the post. It features a quick glimpse of Magik, Cannonball, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, and Moonstar using their powers. Additionally, it hints at the dark forces aligned against them.
Ira Madison III will moderate the virtual panel on July 23 at 2pm PST. Writer/director Josh Boone will appear alongside cast members Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt, and Henry Zaga.
Here’s the official description of the film:
“20th Century Studios in association with Marvel Entertainment presents The New Mutants, the upcoming horror-thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.”
The New Mutants is currently set to hit theaters on August 28. However, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic makes this date more and more unlikely.
