Meet “Carl” In Terminator: Dark Fate’s New TV Spot

The latest TV ad for Terminator: Dark Fate features a bevy of new footage from the upcoming film. But more importantly, fans get a formal introduction to the latest heroic model of the T-800. Over the years, the hero Terminators went by “Pops” in Terminator: Genisys and “Uncle Bob” in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. But the latest Terminator has settled on “Carl.” However, Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) pointedly tells him that “I’m never gonna call you Carl.”

Additionally, the television spot also features additional footage of Gabriel Luna’s advanced Terminator model. There’s even a clip of Luna’s Terminator breaking apart into two entities, including a separate T-800 model. “It’s the most lethal Terminator ever created,” explains Mackenzie Davis’ Grace. And she’s not wrong.

The ad also shows just how high the stakes are when it comes to keeping Natalia Reyes’ Daniella alive. “If we don’t win this one, it’s all over,” warns Connor.

Needless to say, Carl and company will  have their hands full. We’ll see how Terminator: Dark Fate fares when it arrives on November 1.
