Dark Phoenix Reviews – What Did You Think?!

After nearly two decades, the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies are finished. Because Disney has purchased Fox’s entertainment assets, Dark Phoenix will be the last X-Men film featuring the team before Marvel Studios takes over the franchise. Unfortunately, Dark Phoenix was greeted by poor reviews and a disappointing $33 million opening weekend. But did it really deserve such a negative response? We want to know what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! This post is a place for all of you to leave your own reviews, thoughts, or anything else you want to say about Dark Phoenix.

Dark Phoenix marks the directorial debut of long-time X-Men screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg. Chris Claremont and John Byrne’s The Dark Phoenix Saga was a seminal story that helped make Uncanny X-Men a sensation in 1980 and beyond. X-Men: The Last Stand also attempted to adapt elements of The Dark Phoenix Saga. In theory, Dark Phoenix was supposed to be a chance to get it done right this time.

Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) reprises her role as Jean Grey. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender co-star as Professor X and Magneto, respectively. Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Evan Peters also return from the previous X-Men movies. Jessica Chastain also stars in the movie as the primary villain.

Dark Phoenix is out in theaters now. Make sure to leave your Dark Phoenix reviews in the comment section below!
