Gen V Season 2 teased a Compound V Easter egg that potentially sets up the upcoming spinoff, Vought Rising. This reference appears early in the finale when Thomas Godolkin’s body is rejuvenated, thanks to Marie’s powers. The reason for his survival from the lab fire is hinted at, and it has something to do with the compound. Here are more details on the Easter egg.

How does Gen V Season 2 Episode 8 set up the Vought Rising series?
Gen V Season 2 Episode 8, titled “Trojan,” revealed more details about Compound V, subtly setting up Vought Rising. In the episode, Thomas Godolkin regains his body through Marie’s extraordinary powers. He enjoys his time after reclaiming his physical form, eating, and spending intimate moments with Sister Sage.
As he talks, he subtly apologizes to Firecracker. This reveals that he survived the lab fire at Project Odessa in 1967 because of the Compound V he injected himself with. His life was saved due to the compound, which was called V1.
He further shares more details about V1’s effects, explaining that after injecting it, his aging stopped, making him both young and immortal. Apart from him, the compound was also used by two other characters: Soldier Boy and Stormfront. The Boys Season 4 end-credits scene teased Soldier Boy’s whereabouts, showing Homelander confronting him while he remained locked in cryo-freeze. Stormfront did not survive, as she was mutilated and killed. This Easter egg has set up not only Vought Rising but also The Boys’ final season.
Created by Eric Kripke, the satirical superhero series centers on the mystery of Vought in the 1950s era. It also delves deeper into the early origins of Soldier Boy and the sinister schemes of Stormfront within the company. There is no official premiere date for the series yet.
