An ongoing rumor has led fans to think that Kevin Feige might be leaving Marvel Studios. He has been a part of the studios since 2000, with him being appointed as president of production at Marvel Studios in 2007, initially when Iron Man was in development. However, after the movie performed excellently, he was promoted as President. But, the latest rumors suggest that his time with Marvel will last only till the Multiverse Saga’s end. So, is it true? Here are the details.
Is Kevin Feige really leaving Marvel Studios?
There are no confirmed reports that suggest that Feige is departing Marvel Studios. The rumors seem fake.
The speculation around his departure started when an X (formerly Twitter) account named MCU Source shared a “breaking” news about Marvel Studios’ shift in power after the Multiverse Saga. The account tweeted, “Kevin Feige is planning to leave Marvel Studios after the release of #Avengers: SECRET WARS!” The post has since garnered 724K likes and 1K retweets, with many fans taking to the comment section to express their thoughts on this shocking news.
Many fans argued the legitimacy of the post. Meanwhile, some fans appreciated Feige for creating a successful franchise, which is adored worldwide. Others also speculated that the franchise might get a reboot after the Multiverse saga.
A user reacted to the news saying,” Wow..the power struggle with Disney might be at play … they apparently want more MCU content and Mr Feige want to take a different approach.”
Another user also believed, “It’s the smartest move at this point. Feels like Feige emptied the tank with Endgame. Ever since, the MCU’s felt hollow… no soul, no momentum, no real sense of direction. Which is wild, considering they finally have the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and (part of) Spider-Man in their arsenal.” Nevertheless, neither Marvel nor Feige has confirmed any of these rumors.
Previously, in February 2025, similar speculations about Kevin Feige’s firing from Marvel emerged. These rumors circulated following Rob Liefeld, co-creator of Deadpool, criticizing Feige over the dull performance of Captain America: Brave New World.
