Murderbot Episode 6 unveiled a plot twist regarding the newly introduced character Leebeebee, and things didn’t exactly go as the other PreservationAux unit members would have predicted. In the latest episode titled “Command Feed,” Leebeebee turns against the PresAux members who rescued her.
She threatens Gurathin to give her all the information that PresAux has collected. Furthermore, she hints at the people she works for and how “protected” she is. But Leebeebee’s journey is cut short in the episode, thanks to the competent Murderbot.
Who is Leebeebee in Murderbot?
Leebeebee has been behaving strangely since PresAux members rescued her as a DeltFall survivor. While not much is known about her past, she started sexualizing Murderbot right from the beginning, making viewers think that she could be a ComfortUnit.
In Episode 6, Leebeebee discloses her true intention when she suddenly points a gun at Gurathin. While other PreservationAux unit members wanted to know what her true intention was, she hinted at working for powerful people who could even follow her to PresAux.
From Episode 6, viewers understood that Leebeebee had no connection with DeltFall. Probably, she wanted to infiltrate the Preservation Alliance to dig up information, including secrets about alien remnants.
Does Leebeebee die in Murderbot Episode 6?
Leebeebee dies a fast death in Murderbot Episode 6. Even before she completed her threat, Murderbot appeared after Menshah had helped it fix itself and blew up Leebeebee’s head. To the SecUnit‘s surprise, nobody appeared joyful after Murderbot eliminated the threat.
Instead, Ratthi, Gurathin, Pin-Lee, and Arada seem shocked at seeing the sudden bloodbath in front of them as Leebeebee’s headless body lies next to them. It appears that Preservation Alliance members’ collective shock at Leebeebee’s death surprises Murderbot. In its famous inner monologue, Murderbot wonders how people always “celebrate” when someone saves the day in the shows it has watched.
Viewers also loved the realistic portrayal of trauma in the episode. One fan shared on Reddit, “There seems to be some discourse on why the humans of PresAux reacted the way they did to LeBeeBee’s death. I’ve seen things like ‘good riddance’ or ‘they should be more thankful’ and I just wanted to say, the show did a fantastic job of realistically portraying how people react to traumatic events.”
Another added, “I liked how they all had their own responses and had them for their own reasons. I also liked Murderbot’s final analysis of its own visceral response.”
