Will Predator: Killer of Killers 2 Happen? Sequel Possibility Explained

Predator: Killer of Killers has perhaps set up one of the most intriguing storylines in the franchise, and fans are already eager for a Predator: Killer of Killers 2. There seems to be ample possibility of a sequel right now, especially with the director hinting at something special. But has the sequel been confirmed?

Is Predator: Killer of Killers 2 announced, and does it have a release date?

No, Predator: Killer of Killers 2 has not been officially announced yet. It does not have a release date or any confirmed story details either. But with the way the first movie concluded, it left ample space for not one, but multiple spinoffs.

This is because Killer of Killers established that the alien Yautja race kidnaps and stores the previous fighters who managed to kill one of their kind. This also means the possibility of Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from the first movie returning.

A particular scene in the movie led to a lot of speculations about Dutch being alive and stored in a cryosleep chamber, like Naru (Amber Midthunder). Even director Dan Trachtenberg did not dismiss this in an interview with Polygon.

“So the movie was made under the code name Warehouse, as that end moment was in the original idea pitch to the studio, and it felt like the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark…Certainly Arnold, like many others, was a survivor of his story, and one could easily imagine him up there in cryo, along with any other Earth champion or champion from other planets,” said the director.

Moreover, Naru was already in a scene in Predator: Killers of Killers, which means that the movie can now link to the upcoming Prey 2. Predator: Badlands, an upcoming movie from Dan Trachtenberg, will further unite the Alien and Predator franchises again, making more room for surprises.
