Predator: Killer of Killers Easter Eggs With Naru & Other References

The Predator series is back with one of its most exciting entries, Predator: Killer of Killers, which also ties back to the main franchise with some great references that only hardcore fans may be able to grasp. As the animated series has already been released on Hulu and Disney+, here is a breakdown of all the major Easter eggs that have been scattered throughout Predator: Killer of Killers.

List of easter eggs and Predator references in Killer of Killers, along with Naru

Prey’s Naru returns

Predator: Killer of Killers gave a brief glimpse of Naru (played by Amber Midthunder in Prey) in the final moments of the film. The ending showed Yautjas transferring several holding pods, one of which contained Naru in cryosleep. The film suggests that the alien species is collecting warriors who have killed one of their kind, which includes Naru.

The iconic 1715 Flintlock Pistol

Few can miss the sight of the iconic 1715 Flintlock Pistol, which has been part of the franchise since Predator 2. It was originally gifted to Danny Glover’s Harrigan by several Yautja after he killed the City Hunter Predator. The weapon returned in Prey (2022), where Naru used it to kill a Predator. Predator: Killer of Killers brings it back once again.

A throwback to the franchise’s first villain

Among other things, this movie includes a throwback to the franchise’s first villain. In the climactic colosseum battle scene, the film briefly shows an alien resembling the original Predator from the 1987 movie. Though the sequence is short, it carries major significance for longtime fans.

The Return of the Samurai Sword

Alongside the iconic gun, the movie also features the Samurai Sword, further connecting to the franchise’s past. Louis Ozawa’s character Hanzō used this weapon in Predators, and its reappearance strengthens the lore continuity.

A possible glimpse at Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch?

Unlike the clear glimpse at Naru, this reference remains ambiguous. Predator: Killer of Killers appears to show Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), the original protagonist from the first movie, locked in a cryo-chamber. He may have been captured by the alien race as a gladiator, but the scene does not confirm if it is actually Dutch.

Predator: Killer of Killers is now streaming on Hulu.
