The last three episodes of Andor Season 2 perfectly set up Rogue One by tying up story threads and underscoring the direction of the various characters. Those who have watched Rogue One know exactly where Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor will be at the start of the movie. Episodes 10, 11, and 12 of Andor explain how he got there. As the inevitable doom awaits the eponymous and many other characters in the show, the ending of Andor is heavily imbued with tragic elements. Still, it’s not completely without rays of hope. The finale introduces a newborn baby to the Star Wars canon, and fans are wondering whose child it is.

Whose baby was with Bix in Andor Season 2 Episode 12’s ending?
The very last scene of the finale shows Adria Arjona’s Bix Caleen back on Mina-Rau’s farms, living with B2EMO and a baby. The implication is very clear. This is her and Cassian’s child. It’s safe to assume that she didn’t inform him about the child. Bix left Cassian, fearing that her presence in his life would get in the way of his duties toward the Rebellion. She likely, and perhaps correctly, deduced that mentioning the child would give Cassian more reasons to leave the fight against the Galactic Empire.
What happens to Cassian Andor at the end of Season 2?
Toward the end of the episode, Cassian and K-2SO head toward the Ring of Kafrene to meet Tivik, Cassian’s informant to Saw Gerrera’s insurgent group. This sets up Cassian’s introductory scene in Rogue One, in which he learns about the Death Star.
As many of you may know, Cassian dies when Grand Moff Tarkin orders the destruction of the Citadel in Rogue One, but not before the rebels have successfully transmitted the Death Star schematics to their command center. As things currently stand in the canon, Cassian doesn’t get to know that he has a child with Bix. However, at least the viewers now know that a part of him will live on to add to his legacy beyond the role he played in the eventual destruction of the Death Star and the liberation of the galaxy.
