Ghost Rider and His Hell Cycle Get the Mezco Figure Treatment

Very few comics characters feature a design as badass as Ghost Rider. Superhero spandex may look silly sometimes, but spiky black leather and a flaming skull will never not be dangerous. Even Nicolas Cage at the height of his hamminess never diminished that. So it’s pretty much an inevitability that any company with Marvel toy rights will want to make him sooner or later. And now it’s Mezco‘s turn. Typically, their version is not cheap. But it may just be the best.

The official description makes it sound like no expense was spared: “The One:12 Collective Ghost Rider is outfitted in motorcycle gear from head to toe – a black shirt under his leather-like jacket, leather-like pants, motorcycle-riding boots, and gloves. The Spirit of Vengeance comes complete with a light-up head portrait that flickers, achieving a realistic flame effect. Ghost Rider is equipped with his lethal Hellfire Chain that he can hold, as well a posable, real metal chain.”

“Capable of moving at incredible speeds and traversing vertical surfaces or water, the Hell Cycle is Ghost Rider’s main mode of transportation. The Hell Cycle features a light up function which illuminates the removable flame effects, and a revving sound feature. Ghost Rider can sit atop the Hell Cycle and hold on to both handles.”

Indeed, no toy of an angry hellbound biker would be complete without the ability to obnoxiously rev his engine. Kudos for going the extra mile there. Preorder Ghost Rider with his cycle for $240, and he should arrive in the mail next summer.
