“Heroes” star Milo Ventimiglia and producing partner Russ Cundiff have signed a deal with Devil’s Due Publishing to create “Rest,” a comic book miniseries to be published in the fall.
Variety says the four issues in the series will revolve around the dangers of staying awake as a man is drawn into a conspiracy between a malevolent pharmaceutical company and the U.S. government.
The design of the main character will be inspired by Ventimiglia’s likeness.
Mark Powers, who wrote the comic book “Drafted” and edited “X-Men,” will write the issues based on a story by Mike O’Sullivan.
The idea is to adapt the comic book as a TV show or movie should it prove successful.
