Hirsch is ShoWest’s Male Star of Tomorrow

ShoWest has named Speed Racer star Emile Hirsch ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow, it was announced today by Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the event, which will be held March 10-13, 2008, in Las Vegas. Hirsch will be presented with the ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow Award at ShoWest’s closing night ceremony on Thursday, March 13, at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas.

“ShoWest has a longstanding tradition of honoring break-out actors as Stars of Tomorrow, and we are proud to honor Emile Hirsch in this category,” said Neuhauser. “Since making his big-screen debut in ‘The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys,’ Hirsch has gone on to captivate audiences and critics with his ability to immerse himself in a wide variety of characters. From his recent award-winning performance in ‘Into the Wild’ to his memorable roles in such films as ‘Lords of Dogtown’ and ‘Alpha Dog,’ Hirsch has proven himself as a talent to be watched, and we are thrilled to present him with the ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow.”
