ComingSoon.net reports that Spider-Man 2 and The Incredibles are two of seven films being considered for Achievement in Sound Editing for the 77th Academy Awards.
The Sam Raimi sequel and Disney/Pixar animated film are going up against “The Aviator,” “Collateral,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “The Polar Express,” and “Ray”.
Ten-minute clip reels from each of the seven films will be screened for the Sound Editing Award Committee on January 18. The members will then nominate three of these seven films for Oscar consideration.
