The Thing serves as the muscle of the Fantastic Four and is ranked among the toughest tough guys in the Marvel universe. Certainly, Ben Grimm can take a lot of punishment thanks to his nigh-invulnerable rocky skin. However, a recent fight with a villain who normally fights Daredevil proved that he is far from invincible.

Written by Tony Fleecs with art by Justin Mason, The Thing #2 finds Ben Grimm on a mission of mercy. Recruited by his childhood bully, Ben reluctantly agrees to help find said bully’s missing niece. Unfortunately, his efforts wind up attracting the attention of the Kingpin, who fears the Fantastic Four getting involved in his business. This leads to a price being put on Ben’s head that Bullseye decides to collect.

The Thing doesn’t take Bullseye seriously as a threat. While the assassin might give Daredevil a hard time, Bullseye’s arsenal of ninja stars and razor blades is useless on rocky skin. However, Bullseye proves to be both crazy and crazy smart, targettiong Ben Grimm’s weak points.
The Thing’s eyes and mouth are perfectly normal

Bullseye quickly confirms that the ever-loving blue eyes of The Thing are perfectly ordinary. While he can’t quite blind Ben Grimm, he does slow him down by poking him in the eye. Bullseye further determines that the inside of Grimm’s mouth is vulnerable to cutting weapons, throwing a razor blade at his mouth while he’s talking.

Even with this knowledge, Bullseye only manages to delay the inevitable. A poked eye and a cut tongue are annoying, but only serve to enrage The Thing. Soon enough, it is clobbering time, and Ben Grimm knocks Bullseye out with one punch.
The Thing #2 is now available at comic shops everywhere.
